To celebrate Gandhi jayanti and recall the values and lessons from Gandhiji’s life, a special assembly was conducted on October 1, 2024 at JMIS, for Junior school and senior school students.
Insightful presentation were given by students, shedding light on the life, principles, and teachings of the Father of the Nation, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to truth, non-violence, and simplicity.
The assembly was further enriched by a melodious rendition of the timeless song "Vaishnav Jan To," a favorite of Gandhi ji. The soulful performance beautifully conveyed the message of compassion, urging everyone to understand and relieve the suffering of others. Adding to the celebration, students showcased a graceful dance performance that paid tribute to the ideals of Gandhi Jayanti.
In the juniors, the youngest members of the school, the students of JMIS, took a meaningful pledge. With sincerity and conviction, they vowed to follow the path of non-violence, truth, and cleanliness—values that Mahatma Gandhi championed throughout his life. With speeches, bhajans, skits, and dances, the junior students also honored Bapu’s legacy.
