RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS

JM International school celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 30th October 2024 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India.

The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was taken in the morning assembly by the students and the teachers to withstand the greatest threat to the unity, integrity and security of our nation. 

As an endeavor to solidify the bond of oneness and unification, a run for unity was organized to support the cause of promoting unity and celebrating “National Unity Day “where our students created banners and spread awareness in the neighboring areas about this day.

Creating memories & cultivating knowledge at Lohagarh farms

Excursions provide students with invaluable educational experiences beyond their regular school environment, offering diverse learning opportunities. Keeping this basic ethos in mind, an exciting adventurous trip was organized by J M International School, Dwarka on Saturday, October 26, 2024 for the students of Grades VI-VIII to Lohagarh Farms, Gurugram. The excursion aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in farming, environmental awareness and teamwork and experience the simplicity of life in such areas.

Students were delighted to explore the rustic life and curious to acquire information about it. Some of the key attractions for the kids were Pottery, Camel Ride, Bullock Ride, Tractor Ride, Team-Building Activities, Archery, Shooting, Tug of War etc. All activities were carried under the expert supervision of trained instructors using all safety protocols. Children also enjoyed activities like Commando crawl, Burma bridge, Commando net and walking on the balancing beam. They relished sumptuous meals served there and had a fun-filled day with a great learning experience!

On 16th October 2024 JM International School, Dwarka organised an educational excursion for Grades III – V . Students enjoyed a "Bagless Day" at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum in New Delhi. The trip aimed to familiarize students with the life and contributions of Indira Gandhi. A guided tour allowed students to explore exhibits showcasing her impact on Indian history.

During the visit, students engaged with interactive displays, enhancing their understanding of governance and leadership. By the end of the visit, students could identify key events in Indira Gandhi’s life and articulate their thoughts on her leadership.

To reinforce learning, post-excursion activities were also planned. Students wrote a note reflecting on their experiences during the educational trip. Additionally, role plays were demonstrated with the chapter on the subject being studied in class. This excursion not only deepened students' knowledge of history but also encouraged critical thinking and creativity.

Dussehra Celebration 2024

Content – Bal Utsav Ramleela society, Dwarka organized Sampooran Baal Ramleela in  DDA Ground, Iskcon chowk, near Radisson Blu Hotel, sector 13 Dwarka. On October  5th 2024 , the students of Grade III from J.M. International School, Dwarka captivated  the audience with their remarkable dance drama of Sampoorna Bal Ramayan  presentation. It depicted the key episodes from Ramayana, focusing on Lord Ram’s  journey from his childhood to his victory over Ravan. 

The young performers displayed their immense dedication and talent, bringing to life  the characters of Ram, Sita, Hanuman and Ravan through a beautiful dance drama.  The colourful costumes and well – co-ordinated background music further enhanced  the stortytelling. Through this dance drama the students successfully conveyed the  message of righteousness, devotion and triumph of good over evil. 

The audience comprising parents and teachers were mesmerized and spell bound by  the children’s confidence and enthusiasm.

TOPIC – RESPONSIBILITY OF A GOOD STUDENT 

Students of Grade II CHINAR presented an assembly on the topic `Responsibility of a good student` on 4th October 2024. The assembly started with a brief introduction of being a responsible child. Students shared news, thought of the day and recited a short poem through which everyone came to know more about the different responsibilities of becoming a good child.

A skit was performed by students on the ideals of a responsible being in the school and also at various other places. The assembly was concluded by a discussion on the topic wherein  Grade I and II students participated with great optimism.

Content:

JM International School organized a series of interhouse competitions for grades III – XI on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and creativity among students. The events included a quiz, Bhajan singing, and a PowerPoint presentation, all aimed at celebrating the values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

In the quiz competition, Sovereign House claimed the first position, followed by Republic House in second place. The Bhajan singing contest showcased the students' musical talents, with Republic House winning first position and Sovereign House taking second position. The PowerPoint presentation competition highlighted students' presentation skills, where Secular House emerged as the winner, with Sovereign House securing second position and Democratic House finishing third.

The events not only honored the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi but also encouraged teamwork and participation among the students, making it a memorable celebration.

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

To celebrate Gandhi jayanti and recall the values and lessons from Gandhiji’s life, a special assembly was conducted on October 1, 2024 at JMIS, for Junior school and senior school students.

Insightful presentation were given by students, shedding light on the life, principles, and teachings of the Father of the Nation, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to truth, non-violence, and simplicity.

The assembly was further enriched by a melodious rendition of the timeless song "Vaishnav Jan To," a favorite of Gandhi ji. The soulful performance beautifully conveyed the message of compassion, urging everyone to understand and relieve the suffering of others. Adding to the celebration, students showcased a graceful dance performance that paid tribute to the ideals of Gandhi Jayanti.

In the juniors, the youngest members of the school, the students of JMIS, took a meaningful pledge. With sincerity and conviction, they vowed to follow the path of non-violence, truth, and cleanliness—values that Mahatma Gandhi championed throughout his life. With speeches, bhajans, skits, and dances, the junior students also honored Bapu’s legacy.
