SPECIAL ASSEMBLY REPORT 

GRADE-IV NILGIRI 

SESSION - 2024-2025 

THEME/TOPIC- KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS 

“The strength of nation lies within the well being of its soldiers” 

As a step towards inspiring, educating, and motivating children to act, a special assembly was held at the school premises on Kargil Vijay Diwas. 

The assembly began with the prayer, followed by thought of the day and news highlights. Children dressed up as soldiers and enacted a short documentary on the Kargil War, a poignant portrayal of the war and its impact on soldiers and their families. A group of students enacted the life, and emotions of a soldier and his family members, which instilled a sense of national pride. 

The assembly was concluded by paying tribute to the soldiers with a moment of silence to honor the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Report on the Educational Excursion to Movie

'Inside Out' and Park Visit

To provide students with an engaging and fun filled educational experience that combines entertainment and learning, JMIS organised a special screening of the animated movie 'Inside Out’ followed by recreational activities in park, for the students of grades III – V on July 20, 2024.

   The students were captivated by the vibrant animation and engaging story. Many students expressed empathy towards the lead character’s struggle and found the personification of emotions insightful. After the movie, students visited DDA Park, Dwarka Sector 9, for a recreational outing. Many games were played like ‘Poshampa’ ‘Lock and Key’ etc, that led students build teamwork and social skills. 

The combination of the 'Inside Out' movie screening and the park visit provided a balanced educational and recreational experience. Students not only learned valuable lessons about emotions but also had the opportunity to bond with their peers and enjoy the outdoors. Overall, the day was both informative and fun filled.

Positive thinking is not merely a mindset; it is a powerful tool that can significantly impact one's life and achievements. Embracing positivity not only enhances personal well-being but also contributes to a harmonious and productive society. Grade V-Rohini students presented the assembly on the important topic of “The power of positive thinking”. Students started assembly with introduction to the theme. News was followed by thought, poem recitation, and a cheerful song by the students. Tips to maintain positive outlook in life were shared .

JM International School's Van Mahotsav 2024

On July 6th, 2024, JM International School students teamed up with DDA Horticulture, Dwarka, to embark on a meaningful journey of environmental conservation. Van Mahotsav, celebrates the importance of tree planting and sustainable living, an event which aimed to cultivate a sense of responsibility and awareness among the students.Under the bright morning sky, enthusiastic students, armed with tools and saplings, gathered to contribute to their community's greenery. With guidance from DDA officials, they carefully planted each sapling, symbolizing their commitment to a greener future. The plantation drive concluded with a sense of accomplishment. As participants departed, they carried with them a renewed dedication to sustain their efforts towards a more environmentally conscious society.
